Gianna would have turned 16 this year, so not only her fans but also many celebrities touted her in their celebrations. Chiefly, Bryant’s wife, Vanessa was looking forward to celebrating her daughter’s birthday with a day full of surprises. She did everything this time, from opening a basketball court to launching a shoe collection.
In March, Nike and Vanessa renewed their partnership and decided to launch their first collection on the birthday of Vanessa’s daughter. The Kobe 6 Protro was released on May 1 with the name “Mambacita Sweet 16.”

Vanessa shared the news with her fans on social media. She received a lot of positive feedback from fans who are really enjoying the collection. All profits generated from this shoe line will be donated to the Mamba and Mambacita Sports Foundation.
Following the launch of the shoe, many celebrities were seen rocking the collection. Meanwhile, Vanessa reacted to Ja Morant’s sweet 16 appearances against Stephen Curry’s Warriors.
In an Instagram post, Vanessa explained how this collection reflects Gigi’s personality. She explained, “This year is very special. Sweet 16 marks the coming of age. Gigi was always wiser than her age, spreading joy and kindness to everyone around her and proving that basketball was more than just a sport.”

While playing against the Warriors, Morant has shown great performances, especially in game 3, but Saturday night’s All-Star celebration was cut short due to a potential injury. In the game, we also see him wearing the Sweet 16’s as the amount of support this collection is receiving is incredible.
