It seems like the Busches have a lot to celebrate this year. With Kyle Busch starting off his new journey with Richard Childress Racing and Kurt Busch assuming a coaching role in 23XI Racing, there’s another driver in the family who deserves special mention. Marking his debut in the Bandolero car during the INEX Legend Cars Winter Nationals at the Citrus County Speedway, seven-year-old Brexton Busch has registered a hard-to-believe achievement.
His debut attempt at the Bandolero was definitely not an easy one. During the practice session with his new Bandolero, Brexton, unfortunately, lost control of his vehicle and accidentally backed into the infield wall. However, none of this was enough to deter the seven-year-old Busch away.
Taking the challenge head-on, Brexton rode the Bandolero at the Citrus County Speedway while clinching the victory. Proud of the little champion’s fierce comeback, members of the Busch family left some motivating and loving comments on Brexton’s Instagram post.

Apart from that, Kurt Busch‘s soon-to-be ex-wife and polo player Ashley van Metre also took this opportunity to congratulate her nephew. Celebrating Brexton’s win, Ashley wrote, “Yay!! So proud of you Brexton! 👏🏻”
Related to two exceptional NASCAR drivers, Brexton Busch has grown up surrounded by racing cars. However, his father, Kyle Busch, and uncle Kurt Busch’s experiences could not help him much during his Bandolero debut. After all, it was his time to meet the challenges and learn new lessons.
Excited about the opportunity to try his hand at a new vehicle, Brexton told the Citrus County Chronicle before his practice, “We came here to try out this car. I’ve never run it before, so I want to see how fast it would be.”
