Millionaire Actress Reveals a Near Dangerous Moment With Arnold Schwarzenegger While…..
In the film industry, people consider some genres more challenging than others. It holds true, especially for action movies. These films require actors to perform stunts. Although movies with extensive action scenes employ stunt doubles, actors still perform some of them from time to time. Arnold Schwarzenegger executed one such stunt while shooting a film.
Although there are generally no inherent risks involved during these stunts, there is still the possibility of injuries. One of the former bodybuilder’s co-stars had to find that out the hard way.
The most challenging scene for Arnold Schwarzenegger in the movie
In 1994, Schwarzenegger starred in a spy action comedy, True Lies. James Cameron directed the film, and Tia Carrere starred as the secondary antagonist of the movie. However, the movie involved a scene where the Terminator star had to dance with the actress.
But the dance form the director had in mind was not an easy one to master. Moreover, it required some proficiency to perform it with ease. Therefore, Cameron wanted the action star to learn it. The dance form the director had in mind was tango.
Since the Austrian Oak lacked experience with the dance form, he trained hard to learn it. And in time, he became proficient enough to dance without the aid of a stunt double. However, the day of the shoot for the tango scene did not go by without incident.
During a recent interview, Carrere gave an account of the day of the shoot. Recollecting the events, the actress said, “He did step on my toes.”
“It would have been dangerous if I had broken my toes, I suppose, because that would have put us back 30 days in the production,” she added. “I think Arnold did an amazing job in the tango,” continued Carrere. “He has great posture, and that’s all you really need.”
They performed the tango scene without any major mishaps. Therefore, Cameron was able to call it a wrap in time. And although the actress sustained a few minor bruises, it did not hamper the shooting process.
When the movie hit the theaters, it became an instant hit, earning over $370 million at the box office. It became the highest-grossing film of the year and helped enhance the net worth of the people involved with the project.
