They shared a good time, but there was this one moment that didn’t go well for the former first lady, Barbara Bush.
Arnold Schwarzenegger‘s friendship with the Bush family goes back to the days when he was just known as the bodybuilding legend. During the 90s, Arnold and Bush spent a lot of time together. Subsequently, when he ran for governor, the former president was the foremost supporter of his campaign.

A photograph featuring Sxhwarzenegger and former President George H. W. Bush on an ice sled sliding down the hill has been quite popular on social media. However, the actual story behind the photograph is a little sinister.
In an interview, when the former governor of California was showing around his office, he explained, “here’s a picture of President Bush. A few seconds after this picture was taken we ran into Barbara Bush, which broke her leg.”
He further added “it’s why he then sent me this photograph where it says, “Turn, damn it, turn!” (written on the picture).” Well, what must have been really painful for Barbara has now turned into a memory to be cherished forever.

The news of his friend’s demise shattered Schwarzenegger
In 2018, when the country lost one of its most valuable gems, it was a personal loss for Arnold. They were friends for life who spent years and years making memories and cherishing them. On his best friend’s demise, the bodybuilding legend wrote, “George Bush was an inspiration to all Americans and we will miss him dearly. I will always be grateful to him for his friendship, for embracing me and imparting just a fraction of his wisdom during our time together.”
Perhaps this photograph brings back loads of memories for Arnold. Although it’s associated with an accident, it is one of those special moments he spent with a beloved friend. Hence, it’ll forever have a place in his heart.
