Kevin Magnussen revealed the unusual first words spoken to him by Schumacher
Kevin Magnussen appears to have built quite the rapport with his new team-mate Mick Schumacher, who made an unusual choice when it came to the first words he said to his new partner.
“His very first words to me were ‘suck my balls!’,” Magnussen revealed to Sport Bild.
While appearing to be an unusual and rather insulting way to greet your new team-mate, Schumacher was actually referencing a clip of Magnussen saying the very same thing.
At the 2017 Hungarian Grand Prix, Magnussen forced Nico Hulkenberg off the track and the German approached the Haas driver in the media pen after the race.
Hulkenberg reached out his hand, to which Magnussen stared at it blankly before saying “Once again, the most unsporting driver on the grid.”

But before he could even finish the sentence, Magnussen looked at him and replied “suck my balls, mate”.
“Mick has a good sense of humour,” Magnussen said in reference to the introduction. “From that moment it was clear to me we would have a good relationship. Mick is extremely nice and very relaxed. He doesn’t pretend and isn’t aloof. That’s not a given for Formula 1 drivers. I respect him a lot.”
Since then, Magnussen and Schumacher have grown to become friendly team-mates and the Dane was full of praise for the young driver.
“He’s a top driver,” Magnussen said. “Many say he’s only in Formula 1 because of his last name. That’s not true.
“He withstood the pressure his name brings and delivered.”

“He has earned his place in Formula 1,” the 29-year-old said in reference to Schumacher’s success in Formula 2 and 3.
“Mick is getting better every week and has already reached a new level in the first races of this season. He will be scoring his first points in the near future.
