WWE Star Addresses Seth Rollins Injury
Why Seth Rollins Was Brutally Attacked By Bronson Reed On WWE Raw
Seth Rollins will be out of action for an “unspecified amount of time”.
On the post-SummerSlam edition of Monday Night Raw, The Visionary confronted CM Punk but was brutally attacked by former NXT North American Champion, Bronson Reed.
Reed destroyed Seth Rollins delivering six huge Tsunamis causing him to convulse and cough up blood in a shocking segment.
Raw General Manager Adam Pierce took to social media to tell fans the severity of Rollins’ injury and the hefty punishment given to his attacker.
“Happy Saturday WWE Universe, Adam Pierce here with a bit of bad news over morning coffee as our medical staff has informed me that Seth Rollins has in fact suffered several cracked ribs and internal bruising and as such will be out of action for an unspecified amount of time.
Bronson Reed, the cause of this has been fined a massive yet undisclosed amount of money that he has appealed and I do not expect that Mr Reed will be happy when I deny that appeal.
However, the Colossal Superstar not fazed by the GM’s words responded with three simple words.
“Worth it, stooge.”
Seth Rollins Legitimately Injured
The angle on Raw has seemingly written Rollins off WWE TV so he can recover from an injury suffered in his World Heavyweight Championship match against Jinder Mahal in January.
During the title defence, Rollins injured his knee, which kept him out of the ring until WrestleMania 40 where he performed on both nights.
Following two months of recovery, he made a surprise comeback to challenge Damian Priest for the world title at Money in the Bank, however, he hasn’t wrestled since.
Speaking about the situation on Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer said that Rollins is still “banged up”.
“Rollins will be out for a while. The injury angles on Raw with Rollins and Dakota Kai were to cover for real injuries. Rollins is cleared but is still banged up and is trying to get in the best physical condition. His issues are chronic but not at the point to getting flagged. He’s trying to stay ahead of the things so will be taking a little time off.
We’re not sure if he’ll be back for the PPV or not, but if he is, it would now seem to be with Reed and not with Punk, which makes the Punk finish even more just a way to get out of a match and having Punk lose. Although they no doubt will get to Punk vs. Rollins at some point.”
